لويس أراغون (3 تشرين الأول 1897 في نويي سور سين - 24 كانون الأول 1982 في باريس) شاعر فرنسي، وروائي ومحرر، وكان من المؤيدين السياسيين للحزب الشيوعي لفترة طويلة وعضو أكاديمية غونكور.

كل من يكتب عنه ملزم بكتابة شيء عن السا لأنه يعتبرها ملهمته، ومعلمته وقائدته، وإنه ليس شيئاً من دونها، وأن كل ما كتبه من قبلها (صفر)، وإنه لم يشع إلا بوجودها، وهو يرى أنه ما دامت كذلك فكل كتابة عنه دون الإشارة إلى أنها هي العبقرية، وهو انعكاسها، هو افتراء على الحقيقة.
"لذلك تراني أوداريها من أجله". هكذا قال مارسيناك -الشاعر وأقرب تلاميذ أراغون إليه- للمترجم عندما سأله عن سبب إقحام "السا" في مقولة كتبها عن أراغون.
"تضرقنا في الحديث إلى "مجنون السا" وجدت أني أفهم روحه أكثر من أصدقائي الفرنسيين، ودللتهم على مواطن فيه كانت خفية عليهم منها تقليده للأوزان العربية"...
قال مارسيناك: أنتم العرب لماذا لا تصنعون شيئاً من أجل هذا الكتاب؟ كل الأوساط الرجعية كانت ضده، لأنه أبرز مميزاتكم كشعب حضاري..
لم كن أتصور أنني سوف أترجمه ذات يوم، وأتغلب على صعوبات اللغة.
لقد استطاع المترجم بعد أن توحد مع أراغون لغة وتوجهاً، أن يعرف الكثير عن حياته، أن يفك الكثير من ألغازه من خلال الصداقة الوثيقة التي قامت بينهما، لذا نجح المترجم -بشهادة كبار النقاد- بنقل الروح الشعرية لدى أراغون، لا سيما في رائعته التي أهداها إلى رائعته السا... وكان هذا الابداع الذي يقترب كثيراً من روح القارئ العربي لأنه أشد التصاقاً بالخيال، الذي عرفه العربي عند عظمائه ومبدعيه...
