لكن سكر الاغاني كان له طابع اخر ربما مثل جوزة الطيب التي تدعها فتحية في الطعام إن المرأة تضع من أنوثتها في مطبخها و علي الرغم من مرور السنوات على زواجهم إلا أنها لازالت تملك هذا السحر الذي جعله يلتفت إليها أول مرة و هي تغلق شرفة المنزل في الحي حينها ظلت في ذاكرته و ذهب إلي دكانه و كلما اشتم رائحة شئ في عطارته تذكر جزء منها فالفل كان يذكره ببشرتها البضة المشبعة بحمرة ظريفة أسره و القرنفل شعر أنه يليق بشعرها الاسود اللامع مثل نهر النيل ليلا
