شاعر وصحافي سوري، ، يعيش في قبرص منذ أواخر العام 2015.
أصدر أربعة مجموعات شعرية وهي: (سم بارد-2008) (متى أصبح خبراً عاجلاً-2010) و (مباشر من جزيرة المونتاج 2014) عن دار التكوين السورية، و (قبل أن تمتلك الأرض) عن دار نينوى، دمشق 2019.
يكتب في الصحافة العربية والمواقع الإلكترونية.
محرّر موقع أضواء المدينة للشعر وصاحبه.
Book Description
مجموعة عمر الشيخ الشعرية الثانية “متى أصبح خبرا عاجلا”، (منشورات دار التكوين، دمشق 2010) تذهب إلى القريب، بل إلى الأشد قربا بالمعنيين المتصلين بالمكان، أو بالذات نفسها. هو ينسج عوالمه الشعرية من الرؤية المباشرة للأشياء المحيطة، في سعي الى القبض على صور الحياة، كما تراها حدقته الداخلية، من خلال رؤية فيها الكثير من عبق الحسّي، وشقاوة تنقّله وانشغالاته.
ينتمي عمر الشيخ الى الجيل الأحدث في قصيدة النثر السورية، لكننا على الرغم من هذا الانتماء، نلحظ غيابه بعيدا عن السرب، ووقوفه في مكان قصيّ يطالع منه تفاصيل وينشغل بهموم لها مذاق مختلف ونكهة مغايرة:
“فمي يمرّن لساني/ على ابتلاع/ حنطة جسمك الطازجة،/ يدفع لكلّ مخزن/ خمس مصّات،/ تتحوّل بعد دقيقة/ إلى قلب/ يسخن كمحوّل جهد/ بتوتر ألف ميغا امبير”.
قصائده تناوش الرغبة من حالاتها “الأليفة”، أي من عاديتها، واشتعالاتها في اليومي، البسيط والمركّب معا، والذي يحتاج أن تهيئ له القصيدة عدّة المشهد الشعري، واللغة المزدحمة بكثافة المعنى. هي تفعل ذلك بسردية خاصة، تحدّث عن الذات، ولكن في سياق الحديث عن الآخر، والأهم في سياق رؤية تتناول الراهن في الشوارع والعلاقات الإنسانية.
