وليس التصوف إلا سعي لبلوغ هذا الهدف، ومقصوده الوحيد وغرضه الفريد أن يكون العبد عبداً مؤمناً صالحاً يرضى الله عنه، وهذا ما يُوجِب على المرء ان يسعى ليدرك الإسلام إدراكاً سليماً بعيداً عن الشبهات، ويحياه في جوٍّ تتكامل فيه العناصر الأربعة: الشريعة، والطريقة، والحقيقة، والمعرفة.
التصوف بلسم للقلوب الأسيرة في مستنقع المادية، وملاذ كل هائم متخيط في متاهات العقلانية... التصوف صرح شامخ تتكسر على أعتابه كل موجات المساومة على الدين واليقين... التصوف كالشجرة الباسقة: الكتاب والسنّة جذورها، والأولياء والمرشدون جذعها، والطرائق أغصانها، والمريدون اوراقها، والنفوس الراضية المرضية ثمارها.
