يعاني "ليل" من اضطرابات نفسية معقدة، حيث بدا لوالديه وكأنه شابًا عَتهًا يقاسي من انفصامٍ روحيّ استوجب تدخلًا والذي كان من نصيب الأخصائية النفسية "ماريا" علّها تكون طوق النجاة لعقله الذي أوشك على الجنون.
ذلك لم يكن سهلًا؛ فقد واجهت "ماريا" صعوبات في محاولة إقناع "ليل" ليتحدث عن مكنونات صدره كخطوةٍ أولى للعلاج، إلا أنه في كل مرة يرفض ذلك من خلال مراوغةٍ بدت لها كجدارٍ يحمي به سرًّا أهلكه من الداخل. فهل ستتمكن "ماريا" من الولوج إلى أعماق خباياهُ والكشف عن أسراره المُدْلهمّة؟!
