ليس عليك وحشة: قال المصنف - حفظه الله -: «فإن الدعوة إلى الله من أوجب الواجبات وأهم المهمات وأعظم القربات.
وتبرئة للذمة. ولما في هذه العبادة من الثواب العظيم والأجر الجزيل قام بها خيار الأمة، حتى أشرقت الأرض بنور ربها، فذلت لهم الرقاب ودانت لهم البلاد.
وتذكيرًا لنفسي - وللأحبة الكرام - بهذا الأمر العظيم، وخاصة في فترة أهمل فيها هذا الجانب أو ضعف، جمعت بعض وسائل ومداخل - هي أقرب إلى الخواطر - تعين على طرق سبل الدعوة فيستأنس بها ويؤخذ منها، وجعلت لها علامات وعليها منارات؛ لكي نسير على الخطى ونقتفي الأثر في طريق غير موحشة؛ لأن أقدام الأنبياء والصالحين وطأته وتغبرت في طرقه.
ولم أذكر إلا ما كان في نطاق دعوة الفرد الواحد فحسب؛ لأهميته، وإلا فالمجتمع بعامته له أساليب ووسائل أخر».
