أنا لم أكن أحمقًا، كنت خائفًا، أحببتك كما تُحب الحياة من ينقذها من الغرق، بلا شروط، بلا توقيت، بلا مقابل، كنتُ أصلي لكِ في سري، أكتب لكِ القصائد دون أن أرسلها، أصلح العالم كي لا يُرهقكِ.

ــ لكنكَ جرحتني بكلمة، كلمة واحدة جعلتني أرحل، لا غاضبة، بل صامتة، كأنني فهمت أن الجواب لم يكن عني، بل عن وجعكَ.

ــ لكني يا حبيبتي ندمت في نفس اللحظة، وطلبت منكِ ان أوصلكِ إلى الجامعة، لكن في الحقيقة، أنتِ من أوصلتني إلى نفسـي، كنتِ كريمة، سامحتِني بابتسامة، وتركتِ لي بابًا مفتوحًا، لم أدخل منه، لأنني لم أكن أعرف كيف.
