ول الله -تبارك وتعالى- في كتابه العزيز “: مَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ ” [ الطلاق:3]، ويقول سبحانه ” وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ )” آل عمران:122 ( ويقول -عز وجل ): وَمَا لَنَا أَلاَّ نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى اللّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَانَا سُبُلَنَا وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَى مَا آذَيْتُمُونَا وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ ) ( إبراهيم :12 ( من خلال هذه الآيات العظيمة من كتاب الله تعالى نجد أن الله عز وجل يريد من أهل الإيمان أن يثقوا ب ه ويتوكلوا عليه وحده. ومعنى التوكل اصطلاحاً: هو صدق الاعتماد على الله في تسيير الأمور، واستجلاب المصالح، ودفع مضارّ الدنيا والآخرة، فيكون العبد واثقاً مما عند الله تعالى، وراضياً به، ويائساً ممّا في أيدي الناس. فيأخذ المؤمن بالأسباب ويتعامل معها ولكن لا يكون اعتماده وثقته إلا بالله الذي خلق الأسباب ويتصرف بها كيف يشاء
