أنا أحمد، الذي فارقَ حبيتهُ، دونَ أن يراها،
أنا مَن فقدتُ ملاذ روحي، وقطعة مِن قلبي،
أتحسبنَ فُراقك كانَ هين!
كانَ لي بمثابةِ سُمٌ ينهشُ في روحي، يقتلُني بالبطئ، كَم أنا عَنيت مِن بعدك،
كَم أنا أعيشُ أصعبُ أيامَ حياتي، اليوم يمُرُ كسنةٍ مِن العذاب،
كَم أنا أشتقتُ إليكِ حبيبتي، متي ستعودِ لي؟!
متي سنلتقي كما وعدتيني؟!
متي سنجولُ سوياً ونسيرُ في الطُروقات؟!
لقد طالَ غيابك كثيراً وأنا بينَ كُل هذا أموت،
سنلتقي قريباً عزيزتي، أعدك بأننا سنلتقي قريباً كما كُنا نحلمُ،
سأتي إليكِ وأنا أحملُ لكِ كُل مراسيلي التي كتبتهُا لكِ حتى تعلمي كَم كُنتُ أُعاني حبيبتي،
كم أنت طماع يا زمان تَسرِقُ مِنا العُمر وكأنهُ ملكك،
وعندما يزورنا الموت تترُكنا بينَ سكراتُه نتألم ، تهرب وكأنك لَم تعرِفنا، ولَم تشهد علينا أيامك.
