وتناولت الكاتبة أيضا قصة رثاء الشاعرة الخنساء لأخويها وملحمة المهلهل في رثاء كليباً.
والصحابي الجليل متمم بن نويرة قصائده الثمينة في رثاء شقيقه الذي قتل في حروب الردة.
وقصة الصحابي محمد بن مسلمة وثأره لمقتل أخيه.
وإذا ذكرت الأخوة فإن خولة بنت الأزور التي استطاعت أن تخلص ضرارا من الأسر وكيف خلصته بشجاعتها وموقف خالد بن الوليد الذي تأثر بكلماتها، والعديد من القصص التي تتحدث عن دور الأخ في جميع نواحي الحياة.
وقد تناول الكتاب عدة قصائد نظمتها شاعرات في رثاء أشقائهن من خلال فقرة "فتيات لاترحل".
