كلنا لدينا رغبة في تغيير بعض الجوانب في هذا المجتمع رواية قلادة تانيت عالجت مختلف القضايا التي نغض الطرف عنها والتي تسحبنا جميعا نحو الجحيم..
حاولت فيها أسينات ورفيقاتها مواجهة إحساس الخوف المستمر من عدم التصالح مع الذات و من بعض المواقف التي تتعرض لها المرأة المسلمة في البلدان العربية كالتحرشات اللفظية و الاغتصاب و الاختطاف و زواج القاصرات، و كذلك التحرشاات الجنسية بالاطفال "البيدووفيليا" والصراع التربوي القائم بين الذكر و الأنثى في المجتمعات العربية .
