قصيدة طائر الوقواق هي عبارة عن رسالة شعرية أرسلتها إلى أخي ومعلمي الحسن بن الشيخ يوسف الحسني هو أخي وأكبر نجل لأبي، وهو معلمي في حلقات تحفيظ القرآن، أخي الحسن تزوج قبل عشرين سنة وأزيد، فلم يهب الله لهما ولدا حتى الآن، ثم تزوج زوجة ثانية، ولكنه طلقها فورا، ثم خطب ابنة شيخنا وعمنا في السعودية –بعد إصرار من قبل بعض إخواننا- فأعطى الشيخ كريمته، ولكن مع الأسف خلص وأعرض عنها دون تقديم اعتذار بعدما وصلت زوجته الأولى هناك مما يقال، فقيل لنا: إنه مربوط عن النساء والزواج. فذات ليلة عقدنا جلسة أسرية وعرضنا عليه أن يتزوج عاجلا غير آجل، فملثنا وملذنا،، فبعد إلحاح شديد وافق أن يتزوج، وعهد أن ينفذ ولكنه أصبح ملحه على ركبتيه، وما زال يشفع الوعد بالوعد حتى الآن.
فأرسلت إليه –وهو في الصومال- هذه القصيدة التي هي من بحر الكامل، وهي رسالة تحمل همومي، وهموم والدي وإخواني وأقربائي جميعاً.
