المكان: مغرب العالم الإسلامي (في صحراء المغرب العربي قرب ضفاف المحيط الأطلسي).
تبدأ الأحداث بخروج عالم إلى إحدى الجزر القريبة من البر منقطعاً للعبادة ومعه بضعة رجال من صحبه… ثم لا يلبث أن يخرج للناس بقوة صغيرة نحو ألف رجل… فيحمل دعوة ويؤسس دولة تبسط سلطانها على المغرب العربي الكبير ويمتد قبس منها للشاطيء الأندلسي فيبسط سلطانه على الثغر السليب (الأندلس) فيحفظ الاسلام فيه قروناً من الزمان..
فمن هو ذلك العالم الذي شيد تلك الدولة التي كانت انطلاقتها للدعوة إلى الله ، وشعارها: الجهاد في سبيل الله؟
وما هي تلك الدولة التي امتدت من حدود تونس شرقاً إلى المحيط الأطلسي غرباً.. ومن حدود غانا جنوباً في أعماق الصحراء عبوراً بموريتانيا ومالي والمغرب العربي إلى البحر المتوسط شمالاً شاملة للأندلس.
من هو ذلك العالم الذي ظهر في المغرب كما تشرق الشمس في المشرق؟
