أنا قارئ أنتمي إلى تلك الفئة من الناس الذين يقرأون في أي مكان وزمان ، أحمل الكتاب معي أينما أذهب ، ويعرف أصدقائي أنني شخص موثوق عندما يحتاجون إلى ترشيح لكتاب يقرؤونه ، أو عندما لا يمكنهم تذكر من هو مؤلف الكتاب الفلاني وكم طبعة صدرت له ، إن حياتي العملية شديدة التداخل مع محبتي للقراءة لدرجة أنني لا أستطيع الفصل بين الاثنتين، وشخصيتي هي نتاج الجمع بين كل شخصيات الكتب التي أح أنا قارئ أنتمي إلى تلك الفئة من الناس الذين يقرأون في أي مكان وزمان ، أحمل الكتاب معي أينما أذهب ، ويعرف أصدقائي أنني شخص موثوق عندما يحتاجون إلى ترشيح لكتاب يقرؤونه ، أو عندما لا يمكنهم تذكر من هو مؤلف الكتاب الفلاني وكم طبعة صدرت له ، إن حياتي العملية شديدة التداخل مع محبتي للقراءة لدرجة أنني لا أستطيع الفصل بين الاثنتين، وشخصيتي هي نتاج الجمع بين كل شخصيات الكتب التي أحببتها ، أصبحت جزءا من ذاكرتي ، فأنا لم أذهب إلى بطرسبورغ ، لكنني أحفظ أبرز معالمها التي أخذني فيها ديستويفسكي وتولستوي ذات يوم ، ولم أشاهد ماذا حدث لباريس أثناء الحرب العالمية الثانية ، فتطوع همنغواي يخبرني بكل التفاصيل ، ولم أزر براغ ، إلا أن ميلان كونديرا قدم لي وصفا ممتعا لما يدور في شوارعها ، وأصبحت أعرف من خلال خبرتي في الكتب ، أن القراء يعيشون أكثر من حياة .
