تعمل ( رحيل ) في جهاز الشرطة حيثُ تستلم قضية معقدة تستغرق منها شهور وحينما تكاد تصل لطرف تتفاجا برؤية زوجها ( تميم ) الذي خانها ورحل عنها منذُ سنوات يعمل جاسوسًا لصالحها ، وتحكي السطور حول مقدار الألم الذي كابحه كلاهما بسبب ليلة انتهى بها كل شئ ، تتصبب الحيرة داخل رحيل حول العفو من عَدمه ، ثمّ تبدأ بإكتشاف ثغرات تلك القضية لتعلم أنها عملية خطيرة قد تُودي بحياة الآلاف وتكافح بكل ما تملك لتوقفها ، وأثناء ذلك تستيقظ حقائق ماضيها المخفية لتتفاجأ بأسرار تخص عائلتها وابنها المتوفي ، فتجعل الأحداث أكثر تعقيدًا بخصوص علاقة القضية بماضيها.
رواية رومانسية بوليسية تُوحي بالقوة ولا استثناء للحب داخلها ، وتتناول أحرفها الكثير عن العفو والألم وتحقيق المعجزات واستجابة القدر .
