واعتقلته وعن اهم المسرحيات التي كتبهاواعتقل بعدها « جزيرة
الكلاب عام 1597 » واغلقت بسببها السلطةمسارح لندن لان المسرحية كانت تحارب النظام ثم اعتقل بعد قتله لشخص مرة ثانية واعتقل مرة ثالثة بعد
كتابته لمسرحية ايست وردهو .
اهم مسرحياته « كل رجل في مرحه » 1598 ثممسرحية كل رجل خارج مرحه عام 1599
ويقال انه حقق شهرة واسعة في هاتينالمسرحيتين حتى كادت شهرته تطغى على شهرة شكسبير
كما كتب مسرحية « معربد وسينيتياس 1600والشويعر1601
والشيطان حمار عام1616
