كتاب "مِن الأُضْدَادِ مِمَّا في القَامُوسِ" المعروف بـ " فِقْه الاضدادِ" لمجد الدين محمد بن يعقوب –المعروف- بـ الفيروزآبادي، جُمعتْ فيه الألفاظُ الدالةُ على معنيينِ ضدَّينِ، وقد حُصِّلَتْ مَادتُه اللغويةُ من كُتبِ اللغةِ و معجمِ القاموسِ المحيطِ الذي يُعَدُ من أشْهَرِ المعجماتِ العربيةِ لسعةِ موادهِ اللغويةِ وضَخَامتها وسُهَولة الولوج إليها لانها وضِعَتْ في تَرتِيبٍ قائمٍ على نِظَامِ القَافِيةِ مع مراعاةِ ترتيب اصْولِها دَاخلياً.
كَتابُ " فقه الاضداد" الذي عَمَلنا على تحقيقه واخراجه، يُعدُّ معجماً فريداً في نوعه، وجهداً مكملاً لمعجم القاموس المحيط، إذ قصد فيه صاحبه الى جَمعِ المروي من الاضداد في معجمه، متبعا الطريق نفسه في ترتيب المادة اللغوية، وقلنا : "معجماً فريداً في نوعه" كون صاحبه شعِبَ ما انْكره بعض اللغويين من الفاظٍ وصيَّره معجماً لغوياً يمكن الركون اليه، ولعلَّ الذي حمله على تأليفه ما وَجَده من الاضداد في القاموس المحيط من خلال المروي من كلام العربِ وما ثَبُتَ في القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية من
لفظٍ دالِ على معنيين ضدين ، كالظَّنِ بمعنى الشَّكِ واليَقِينِ، وَرَاءَ بمعنى خَلْف و أَمَام، الرَّجا بمعنى الأمَلِ والخَوفِ، وهذه الألفاظ وما كان على سمتها مطردةُ في كلام العرب بمعنى الشيء وضده.
