غريب في بلدتي رواية اجتماعية درامية عن الأسرة والعائلة والمجتمع وبعض العواطف التي تنثر عبر الصفحات، تناقش الرواية قصة شخص فقد والده مذ كان صغير بسبب الشك الذي أبعده عن والده ثم تهرب به والدته حتى تربيه تربية صحيحة وبعد أن يكبر يبدأ رحلة البحث عن والده الذي رفضه منذ البداية، إضافة لبعض القصص والحبكات الثانوية التي ترتبط به من شخصيات مساندة والعداء الذي يقوده إلى طرق أخرى. تناقش أيضاً وجود الاباء والأهل في حياة الأبناء وكيف يؤثر الدعم المعنوي والنفسي بجانبهم وأن العمل من أجل المال قد يفقد الأبناء ويجعلهم يتصرفون التصرفات الخاطئة ثم جانب التنمية البسيط الذي يطغي على بعض أجزاء الرواية. تبدأ الرواية ببعض الحبكات الرئيسية ثم الانتقال لمعرفة الاسباب التي أدت لفراق الوالد ثم مرحلة التخطيط وبرهان العلاقات العاطفية التي تغير مجرى الأحداث وبداية رحلة البحث عن الوالد الغائب ومراحل تطور ريادة الأعمال استعانة بالشهادات الجامعية التي لابد من استخدامها في الحياة ووجود الأهل الذي يلعب دور أساسي في حياة الأبناء، تغير الأحداث في حياة الراويين وتبديل حياتهم من حياة اللهو واللعب الى الحياة الجدية التي لابد أن يعيشوا.
