تبدأ أحداث رواية " عقار 24 " بمقتل شريف..بالاسكندرية. .لنظل ننتقل من القاهرة للاسكندرية ..مع محقق متفرغ..صحفي نبيه .. مشتبه فيهم...و أسرة ثرية مليئة بالمشاكل المثيرة للجدل .. الجديد هنا ان الأب لديه ابنة يعتمد عليها في كل شيء..بينما أبنائه الذكور الثلاثة..مثال للكسل والاستهتار ..و بينهم القتيل شريف..و كان حقا ..اغرب شخصيات الرواية..المؤلف..لم يحاول ان يحكم عليه مطلقا..بل ظل يعرض علينا مشاهد من حياته بخيرها و شرها و تركنا نبحث نحن عن القاتل الوصول للقاتل كان صعبا بالفعل..فقد اتبع ترجم مدرسة اجاثا كريستي..حيث ذهب أكثر من 5اشخاص القتيل ليلة الحادث...فصار الوصول للقاتل..يحتاج ضربة حظ الأسلوب محكم ..اللغة فصحى في السرد ..عامية في الحوار الشخصيات :..شريف..ليلى ..نرمين..و نغم ..مرسومين بعناية الغلاف..نفرني وابعدني عن شرائها لعام كامل. .ليس له معنى مفهوم جرعة التشويق ظلت في يد ترجم حتى النهاية و لم تأت النهاية مستفزة و لم يهبط القاتل بالبراشوت على الرواية..كمعظم الروايات البوليسية و اعجبني رمزية اختيار الاسم كما فسرها أستاذ مهاب.. فرقم 24 يرمز للعيوب المنتشرة في المجتمع و التي ادت لثورة 25يناير
