والرواية بطلتها امرأة تعيش بداخلها حالة من الانفصام ما بين حياة الغرب بما فيها من حرية شخصية, لكنها تفتقد إلى العلاقات الاجتماعية الحميمية, فتعاني فيها من الغربة عن الوطن, وما بين حياة الشرق حيث الحريات مكبوتة خاصة للنساء, وحيث تعاني هنا من الاغتراب في الوطن, فتتنقل حائرة بين هنا وهناك, ويبقى السؤال معلقا حول الحرية الجمعية إن كانت ممكنة دون تحقق الحرية الخاصة أو الفردية .
وبذلك تعد هذه الرواية على درجة من الجرأة الإبداعية, من حيث اختراقها لما يعد تابو في الموروث الاجتماعي, وبقدر ما يمكن اعتبارها إضافة نوعية لرصيد الكاتب الذي سبق له وان نشر العديد من الروايات والمجموعات القصصية, المسرحيات وغيرها, والذي يعد ناشطا ومحللا سياسيا أيضا معروفا, بقدر ما تضيف إلى المكتبة الروائية الفلسطينية ما هو نوعي ومثير, وللمكتبة الروائية العربية رواية تستحق الرواية والاهتمام .
