لم نختر أن نكون غرباء ولكن إخترنا العيش على ذكرى الأحباء.
إنّ أصعب ما قد تواجهه في هذه الحياة هو العيش بحياتين مختلفتين وخيارين أحلاهما مرّ ولكنك مجبر على الخيارات ما بين الحياة وما بين الواقع.
لست بكاتب ولا شاعر... ولكنّي أكتب لكلّ مغتربٍ ولكل عاشقٍ أبعدته الظروف. أحاول في هذا الكتاب أن أنقل صوره من وجهة نظرة قد تكون ثقيلة لبعض المغتربين، وأحاول جعل هذا الكتاب إطلالة واعتراض على قضايا قد تكون مهملة لأناقشها وأنتقدها عن طريق قصة عشق في زمن الحرب والاغتراب.
قد يلامس هذا الكتاب وهذه القصة البعض وقد تكون فيها بعض الأحداث التي عايشتها، ولكن ما أنا متاكد منه هو أنني أكتب وجع جيل عايش ذنب لم يكن ذنبه.
قد يكون في قلبي بعض الأماني أن تصل هذه الكلمات لصاحبها وأن يكون وصفي له متقن. ولكن تبقى النهاية هي الحكم.
لم نختر الاغتراب ولكنّا اخترنا ما نحن به في الاغتراب إما أن نكون ملهمين وإما أن نكون سراب.
