وفقا لإدوين ماكدويل، والكتابة في عمود ""كتاب ملاحظات"" نيويورك تايمز، بيار سالينغر واريك لوران 1991 كتاب سر ملف: الأجندة الخفية وراء حرب الخليج، كان ""بالفعل من أكثر الكتب مبيعا في فرنسا"" في ذلك الوقت، و أن كتاب ""يؤكد أن حكومة الولايات المتحدة ساعدت جهود تقويض من قبل الملك حسين عاهل الأردن لإيجاد حل غير عسكري بعد غزو الرئيس العراقي صدام حسين الكويت.
كما تدعي لإظهار كيف كان يمكن تجنب الحرب"".

في نفس المصدر، ألقي القبض عليه في أغسطس 2015 (جنبا إلى جنب مع المؤلف المشارك كاثرين غراسييه) بتهمة قبول رشوة لعدم نشر كتب عن القيادة المغربية مرة أخرى.
