ضمت المقدمة تعريفاً بالكيمياء وبيان الحاجة إليها والغرض منها. وتكلم في الجزء الأول عن علاقة العالم العلوي بالعالم السفلي، وأساس الطب الكيميائي، وعلامات الأمراض ودلائلها، وتقطير المياه والأرواح، والأذهان، ثم خلص إلى معالجة الأمراض بطريقة كلية وجزئية.
وفي الجزء الثاني بحث في خلقة الإنسان، كمعرفة الجسد وتركيبه وأجزائه، ثم انتقل إلى أمراض الرأس وخصوصاً الأذن وال عين والحميّات وأنواعها وأسبابها...
وفي الجزء الثالث عرض لأمراض البدن كافة، وفصل أنواعها وخصائصها واصفاً العلاج المناسب والذي يعني العلاج المستند على التداوي بالأعشاب.
