تنتظم قصائد الشاعر عبد الرزاق الربيعي في مجموعته الشعرية الجديدة وصعوداً إلى صبر أيوب، تحت سقف الإثارة والمفارقة والإدهاش، وتأصيل بُنى حياتية، تقوم على نشدان الخير والحب والجمال، والبحث عن الصفاء، بعيداً عن خواء العالم وانكسارات الذات وهروبها وضياعها في متاهات الزمان، وهو ما برع الشاعر في إرساله شعراً:
تحت عنوان "أطياف" يقول الشاعر الربيعي:
"خرجت من ضلعي وردته / فجريت وراء العطر / أعطرً أطيافي ، منتشياً كنتُ / أدق الطرقات المختومة بالشمع / وأعبر أنهاراً / مدناً / أزماناً / والوردة تنأى / ذات صباح أوشكتُ / ولكنّ فرقصتً .. / رقصتُ / إلى أن / لدغتني الأفعى" . بهذه اللغة الترميزية والإيحائية يبني الشاعر عالمه الشعري ليؤسس مشهداً قائماً في الحياة وإن بلغة الشعر.
يضم الكتاب خمسة وثلاثين قصيدة قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحر جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "وجه في مرآة" ، "عقرب" ، "ثمة موت" ، "ذاكرة الدم" ، "مرارات" ، "حنين" ، "عنقود ضفادع" ، "وصية" (...) وقصائد أخرى.
