كان حاسما كالسيف، وكانت صلابته تأسرني مرة بعد مرة، وكنتُ رقيقةً كوردة، وكانت رقتي تذيبُ صلابته. كقعيدة لا حراك لها حالي في غيابه، وكعصفور من شدة البرد يرتجف حاله من غيري. كان كالعافية لجسدي، وكنت كالشمس لدنياه. بسهولة كنتُ أستنشقُ عبقَ حُبي لهُ، ويوماً بعد يوم كان ذلك العبق ينمو حتى غدوت أستنشقه بكل سنتيمتر في جسدي.
