ولقد بذلت من الجهد في هذه الدراسة ما لم أتوقعه قبل الإقدام عليه والخوض فيه، وذلك لأن هذا الموضوع لم يلق اهتمام العلماء السابقين بالقدر الكافي ، فأكثر ما كتب عنه العلماء صفحات قليلة متناثرة بين جنبات موضوعاتهم ، لهذا كان علىّ أن أبحث وأدرس وأقارن وأخوض الغمار مع قلة بضاعتي.
وقد قسمت بحثي إلى ثلاثة فصول:
الفصل الأول: يتكون من أربعة مباحث:
• المبحث الأول: وحدة العقيدة في الأديان جميعاً.
• المبحث الثاني: استعراض لبعض الرسالات السابقة.
• المبحث الثالث: ركائز الدعوات السابقة.
• المبحث الرابع: الإسلام والأديان السابقة.
الفصل الثاني: يتكون من أربعة مباحث:
• المبحث الأول: الصلاة.
• المبحث الثاني: الصيام.
• المبحث الثالث: الزكاة.
• المبحث الرابع: الحج.
الفصل الثالث: يتكون من تمهيد وخمسة مباحث:
• تمهيد.
• المبحث الأول: معنى شرع من قبلنا.
• المبحث الثاني: شرع من قبلنا هل هو شرع لنا.
• المبحث الثالث: في شرائع الأنبياء قبل محمد عليه السلام.
• المبحث الرابع: هل كان النبي متعبد قبل البعثة بشرع من قبله.
• المبحث الخامس: النسخ وعلاقته بشرع من قبلنا.
ثم انتهيت إلى الخاتمة. فإن كان في دراستي هذه سداد فذلك توفيق من الله، وإن كان فيها خطأ أو تقصير فمن نفسي
