من خريجين كلية الشريعة من جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية بالرياض وقد اختير للقضاء ولكنه طلب الإعفاء وهو يعمل الآن مدرس بالمعهد العلمي بالدلم وله مجموعة من الدروس العلمية في الفقه والعقيدة وغيرها ، وهو من العلماء المشهورين في تلك المنطقة وهو إمام جامع الشيخ راشد بن خنين بالدلم وصاحب كتاب الإفادة الشرعية في بعض المسائل الطبية و عدة كتب فقهية أخرى.
يمتاز الشيخ وليد السعيدان ويتميز في علم الفقه والحديث والتفسير والعقيدة وله مؤلفات في تلك الفنون وخاصة الفقه وله درس أسبوعي ( الثلاثاء ) من كل أسبوع في جامع الشيخ عبدالعزيز بن باز بحي آل سعيدان بالدلم وهو شاعر ولكن لم يتفرغ للشعر ومتقن في قواعد الأصول ومحب لها ويحب تعليمها للناس ومعلم مرب للطالب يعتني بطلابه وإفهامهم المسائل خلال درسه وهبه الله حافظة جيدة برز بها عن أقرانه ألقى نونيته ( نونية السعداني )- تجدها بصوته في موقع صيد الفوائد - على الشيخ عبدالعزيز بن باز رحمه الله وبحضور الشيخ عبد الرحمن الجلال أمد الله في عمره
يحب التأليف ويقتطع وقتا كثيرا من أجله بل ويتفرغ له أحيانا.
وحقه علينا الدعاء له بالإخلاص والنفع والانتفاع بعلمه آمين.
