من مواليد الاسكندريه , خريج تجارة جامعه القاهرة سنه 1961. التحق بالقسم الحر بالفنون الجميله عام 1961. عين بالسلك الدبلوماسى عام 1962. تدرج فى المناصب حتى سفير فى زيمبابوى ( هرارى ) ثم مساعد وزير الخارجيه للابحاث و المعلومات عام 1999. الف 16 كتابا فى الفن و منها كتاب العولمه المتحفيه و كتاب المفاهيميه فى التشكيل العربى و كتاب الفنان سعد الخادم ( ارستقراطى شعبى الهوى ) و اخرهم كتاب ( داوستاشى عبر اعماله الفنيه ) عام 2021
