ترجمة : د.حسن حلمي في ديوان "زواج الجنة والجحيم" يرتدي وليم بليك بدلة المخرب، يحمل المعول بيديه ويهوي على أصنام التصورات والأفكار الراسخة والثابتة. لذلك نرى في الديوان مديحا للهدم والغواية، وتمجيدا للغضب. والغضب عنده يعني العقل. عقل آخر غير العقل المتعارف عليه. و العقل الذي يذمه الشاعر لأنه علم الإنسان الخضوع ولم يَدْعُهُ إلى الهدم. عَلَّمَ الإنسان الاستكانة إلى المعرفة الجاهزة والقبلية وتصديق القول الساذج ولم يعلمه سبل المعرفة المنبوذة والمحرمة. تلك التي اتهم أصحابها بالجنون، وفي عصور سابقة بالهرطقة وبالزندقة. وليم بليك يبدو شاعرا رؤيويا بمعنى أنه يعتمد على الرؤيا في مجازاته وفي صوره الشعرية. لا بمعنى النبوءة أو ادعائها. إنه "لعين" و"رجيم" في نظر الكثيرين كما نعت بعده "بودلير" بذات الصفات. لأن مصدره منطقه مخالف ومغاير للسائد من الأفكار والآراء العامة.
