رواية اسمها سورية هى عنوان جديد صدر في دمشق بجهود خاصة, وهو مكوّن من ثلاثة أجزاء تضم بين صفحاتها سير مئة شخصية ممن انشغلوا بالشأن العام وأسهموا في بلورة وعي السوريين في القرن العشرين, وشخصيات الكتاب تتوزع على مختلف أطياف المعرفة والإبداع والسياسة, بعضها أنصفته مدوّنات التاريخ الحديث, وبعضها غاب ذكره تماما, ففي الجزء الأول مثلا نقرأ عن حياة رائد المسرح السوري أبو خليل القباني, ونقرأ سيرة المفكر عبد الرحمن الكواكبي, وفي الجزء الثاني تطالعنا حياة الصحفي الكبير نجيب الريس والسياسي خالد العظم, والمفكر أنطون سعادة, وفي الجزء الثالث تحضر سيرة السياسي صلاح الجديد والفنان التشكيلي لؤي كيالي والروائي هاني الراهب, وسير شخصيات الكتاب مكتوبة بأسلوب السرد الأدبي, وقد شارك في صياغتها نخبة من المفكرين والأدباء والإعلاميين, وهذا المشروع الضخم على أهميته أثار الكثير من الأسئلة والاستفسارات والتحفظات, وبهذا الخصوص التقينا صاحب فكرة المشروع والمشرف على تنفيذه الزميل الكاتب نبيل صالح, وهو إعلامي مشاكس, له كتابان «الرب يبدأ نصه الأخير» و«شغب».
