"تُحكي هذه الرواية عن شخص يدعى بإسم ماهر، يهوى روح المغامرة والإثارة التي تبث فية هو وأصدقائه الأربعة، ثم تدور بيهم الأحداث حول دخولهم كهف يدعى بإسم كهف الظلمات الذي كاد أن يمتلىء بالمتاعب والصعوبات، ثم بعد ذلك يجدوا أنفسهم مطاردون من كائنات مجهوله المصدر، تقتل فيهم روح المغامرة آلتي إنبعثت بدخلهم وتقضي على فضولهم الزائد، وتبدأ رحلة المتاهه، ويبدأ كل شخصًا منهم يُبِحث عن طوق النجاة لإنهاء تلك اللعنه التي تقتنص أروحهم شخصًا تلو الآخر، "فهل أحدًا منهم سينجوا أم سيكون الإنتقام عسير؟!"، سنعرف الإجابة معًا".
