«السودان» بلادٌ لطالما ضمت أنسابًا وأديانًا وأعراقًا عدة، إلى أن قصمت الحرب ظهرها، وأعادت الندوب تشكيل خريطتها. بلادٌ يسكنها زخمٌ من التفاصيل، ويَنبت في شُرُفات بيوتها الأمل برغم السَّقَم، تلُفُّها الأسطورة، ويقطر من سمائها الحَكْي فوق رءوس الخلائق. أربع روايات تحت عنوان «ثلاثية البلاد الكبيرة والعاشق البدوي»، يأخذنا «عبد العزيز بركة ساكن» خلالها في رحلة إلى بلاده الكبيرة، يُطلعنا على خباياها، يُسمعنا أنين أهلها وأرضها، ويتركنا في حنين إلى البشرة السمراء والأعين الغائرة.
نتساءل: كيف الفرار إن سُلِّمت آلة الحرب الطاحنة إلى غاضب أعمى؟ يغدو الهدم حينها أقلَّ الكوارث وطأة، فالقتل المجاني يطلُّ بشبحه على الجميع. «الحرب الأهلية» مصطلحٌ يمرُّ كمعلومة عابرة وسط الحكي، دون أن يعي قائله مدى بشاعة التقاتل بين أبناء أرض واحدة، كان لهم ذات يومٍ حلم مشترك وأمل واحد في الحياة في محيطٍ آمنٍ لا أكثر. «السلم هو جثة الحرب»؛ هكذا يفتتح الكاتب هذا الجزء من «ثلاثية البلاد الكبيرة والعاشق البدوي»، الذي يتركنا فيه لنعايش ما كان من ويلات وفظائع التقاتل الأهلي بأحراش «جنوب السودان» وقراه ومدنه قبل انفصاله، تأخذنا المشهديَّة المتقنة لنشاهد ما حدث رأي العين، نُحمَّل بالحقائق صادمةً عارية، ولا ننخدع بالسلام الذي كان ثمنه «الموت البارد».
