لم أكتب هذا الكتاب لأكون كاتبًا، ولم أكتبه بحثًا عن الشهرة أو الثناء، بل كتبته لأن في قلبي كلامًا لم أجد له مكانًا إلا بين هذه الصفحات. بعد رحيل أمي، شعرت أن جزءًا مني قد رحل معها، فكانت هذه الرسائل محاولة للحديث إليها، وللبوح بما عجزت عن قوله.
في هذا الكتاب أروي شيئًا من الحنين، وشيئًا من الذكريات، وشيئًا من الألم الذي يتركه الفقد في قلب الابن. هي رسائل كتبتها بصدق، تحمل مشاعر شابٍ فقد أعظم نعمة في حياته، وما زال يبحث عن دفء صوتهـا في زحام الأيام.
إن وجدت في هذه الصفحات دمعةً أو ذكرى أو شعورًا يشبه ما مررت به يومًا، فاعلم أنني كتبتها من القلب إلى القلب.
