آدم، فتى فضولي من قرية صغيرة، يعثر على ساعة جيب سحرية داخل كهف غامض. عند لمسها، تنتقل به إلى المستقبل حيث يلتقي بعالمة تُدعى ليلى، التي تكشف أن الساعة آلة زمنية تسعى منظمة شريرة تُدعى "ظل الزمن" للسيطرة عليها.
يهرب آدم وليلى إلى الماضي، حيث يلتقيان بالساحر ماركوس، صانع الساعة، الذي يخبرهما بضرورة العثور على حجر "قلب الزمن" لإيقاف المنظمة. بعد رحلة مليئة بالمغامرات والمخاطر، يعثرون على الحجر في كهف أسطوري، لكنهم يواجهون المنظمة في معركة حاسمة.
ينجحون في تدمير الساعة لمنع استخدامها في أغراض شريرة. يعود آدم إلى قريته، وقد أصبح أكثر حكمة ونضجًا، لكنه يدرك أن مغامرته قد تكون مجرد بداية.
