في زحمة هذا الوجود، حيث تتشابك الظلال وتتعالى الأصوات، ينسى الإنسان أن له صوتاً آخر منخفضاً، لا يُسمَع في ضجيج الدنيا، بل يُسمع فقط عندما يُغلِق القلب أبوابه على العالم ويفتح نوافذه على السماء.
تلك الهمسة العميقة التي تنبع من سرّ الروح هي أول الطريق لرحلتنا الكبرى الى الداخل: رحلة العودة إلى اللّٰه عبر معرفة النفس.
الإنسان في صيرورته الدنيوية كثيراً ما يتوه بين الأسباب، ويغرق في آثار الأشياء، وينشغل عن المنبع الأول، حتى يصير قلبه غريباً عنه، وروحه متعبة لا تعرف من أين جاء عطشها، وما العطش في الحقيقة إلا حنين الروح إلى أصلها، شوقها إلى النور الذي خُلقت منه، إلى الحضرة التي صدرَت عنها وإليها تعود.
