قد يتعجّبُ القارئ لهذا الديوان أن مقدّمتَه كُتبت بيد الشاعر ذاته؛ ثم لا بد أن يستحيلَ العجبُ دهشةً حين يجد أنَّ الشاعرَ قد تنازل عن حقوق هذا المُوّلَف بالكاملِ للقارئ أينما كان؛ وسمحَ له _على غير العادة_ بالتصرفِ فيه وبما فيه كما يشاء.
وقد تستحيلُ الدهشةُ فيما بعد ابتسامةً حين يجده قد أهدى القسمَ الثاني من الديوان إلى بطل روايته "لستُ أنا"، ولعلَّ هذه اللّفتات قد تقودك فيما قبل أو بعد إلى قراءة ديوان شعرٍ مختلف، ترواحَت سطوره بين الحديث عن الوطن والحبيبة والانغراق في الوجدانيات والفلسفة؛ إذ سيحملك هذه الديوان إلى عدّة أوطان، ويعرّفك على أكثر من امرأةٍ، ويدلّك على منابع الوجع والحزن في الروح. ستسحرُك موسيقاه _فيما أظن_ ويحرّضك على مجاراةِ قصصهِ المنثورةِ تباعًا؛ ولن تتخلصَ من السادسةِ صباحًا بسهولةٍ في مجرى الأحداث رغم أن الصباحاتِ بدت عابرةً في هذا الديوان كالأماني المؤجلة.
