يتألف ديوان الحمراء الذي تتناوله هذه الدراسة وتسلط الضوء عليه، من اثنين وثلاثين قصيدة ومقطوعة شعرية، وبعض أبيات مفردة من الشعر الذي تحتضنه وتضمه جدران الحمراء في غرناطة، لتجعل قيثارتها التي تخاطب به الأجيال والعابرين عليها، لتقص عليهم حكايات من عهدٍ مضى، وأمجادٍ طوت عليها حضارات الزمن، إن هذه القصائد هي مما نظمه أشهر شعراء مملكة غرناطة في عصر بني الأحمر: لسان الدين بن الخطيب، وأبو عبد الله بن زمرك وغيرهم، ووقع عليه اختيار سلاطين بني الأحمر، ونقشته الأيدي المبدعة في أجنحة الحمراء وصالاتها ولتجعل منه شاهداً من شواهد الحضارة العربية واثراً من آثار أشهر شعراء عالم الحمراء المكتوب. وقد وثق المؤلف هذه الأبيات عبر عرضه لصور فوتوغرافية حية مأخوذة عن جدران القصر، ليعرض من خلالها جمال الصورة وإبداع النحت وروعة الكلمة.
