أحد عشر عاماً ولا يدري كم ينتظر أيضاً، فالعيش في وطن يعيش على حالة الطوارئ يعني أن تسجن بلا محاكمةٍ، أن توضع في علبة سردينٍ ويغلق عليك الباب دون تحديد مدّة الصلاحية على العلبة، عليك أن تنتظر فقط، هنا يصبح للانتظار أشكالٌ عدّة، ففي الليل تنتظر صباحاً أقلّ ظلمةً بقليلٍ من ظلمة الليل، وفي النهار تودّ أن يأتي الليل ليحملك في أحلامه بعيداً عن وجع المكان، تنتظر فتح باب السجن لتلقّي قصعة الغداء أو تنتظر عودة زميل لك أُخذ للتوّ إلى غرفة التحقيق وتعدّ نفسك لتكون طبيباً بمحض ظروفك، هنا تصطنع طرقاً عديدةً للانتظار ربّما تنجح معك، لكن أن تنتظر حريّتك فتلك طريقة خاطئةٌ حتماً، تعلّم أنْ لا تنتظر السجّان ليناديك باسمك ويقول لك: "إفراج".
فإن انتظرت ذلك ولم يتحقق يموت الأمل في نفسك، نعم ذلك أصعب من الموت، أن يموت الرجاء في نفسك
