يتناول هذا الكتاب مجموعة من الإشكاليات والتساؤلات العديدة التي يطرحها كل عاقل على نفسه أولا ومن بينها: لماذا اختير الإسلام دون غيره من الديانات ليوصف بالإرهاب؟ ومن المساهم في شيوع مصطلح الإسلاموفوبيا؟ ومن المستفيد؟ ولماذا تتخبط المجتمعات العربية والإسلامية في مشاكل تقليدية ساهمت في انتشار العنف بين أبنائها كما أدت إلى نشوب ثورات داخل اوطانها؟ كيف السبيل لرفع مخططات ومؤامرات العولمة التي ساهمت بوسائل عديدة ومتنوعة في ترسيخ مصطلح الإسلاموفوبيا في أذهان الكثيرين؟ وهل كان للمجتمع العربي الإسلامي دور في شيوع هذا المصطلح؟
هذه الإشكاليات نحاول بقدر الإمكان في هذا الكتاب تقديم تصورات لتوضيحها وليس بالضرورة الاجابة عنها بشكل فاصل، لأن هذه الإشكاليات شائكة وصعبة وتحتاج إلى معلومات مدققة جدا. وقد حاولت أن أعتمد على مجموعة من الدراسات لتبيين حقيقة مصطلح الإسلاموفوبيا وتفنيده، لأن الإسلام لم يكن يوما ما دين قمع أو قهر أو إرهاب كما يعتقد البعض، والعقيدة الإسلامية انتشرت بالقلم والحجة والبيان، وكل قول يخالف هذا هو مجرد تزييف لحقيقة الإسلام أو جهل به، وتجرد الإشارة أن الإسلام أصبح غريبا حتى بين معتنقيه والأغلبية في فهما لهذا الدين حطت الرحال بعقولها على مظهره وقشوره متجاهلة عمقه وصدفه ومكنوناته، وهذا ما ساهم في ترسيخ مصطلح الإسلاموفوبيا نتيجة الفهم السطحي والمغلوط للإسلام.
