أبنائي الأعزاء ...
عندما تغيب شمس العمر عن سماء الحياة، وتنطفئ أنوارها تاركةً خلفها ظلمة الحزن، ويموت الزوج، تفيض دُررُ الحزن من عيون النساء المسلمات، كاللؤلؤ المنثور على رمال شاطئ الوداع، يصبح وجههنّ مرآةً تعكس عظمة الحبّ الذي فقد، ويبكي قلبهنّ على فراق عزيزٍ غالٍ، صار ذكراهُ، كالريح العابرة التي تحرك أوراق الشجر، تاركةً في قلوبهنّ همساتٌ من الحنين .
أعلم أن مشاعر الحزن والبكاء هي غريزة إنسانية طبيعية، لكنني أرجو منكم، أن تُمنعوا أمّكم من إظهار هذا الحزن الزائف عليّ بعد رحيلي، فبكائها لا يُعبّر عن حبّ حقيقي، بل عن رياءٍ وادعاءٍ لم يكن موجوداً خلال حياتي .
لم أجد في حياتي من أمّكم سوى القسوة واللامبالاة، ولم أشعر بحنانها أو حُبّها، لذا، لا داعي لِبكائها المُصطنع، والطمّ والوجع والعويل، فكلّ ذلك كذبٌ ومُجرد تمثيلٍ يُؤلمني أكثر من موتي نفسه وفراقي لكم، أريد منكم أن تذكروا أنني ذهبت إلى دارٍ أفضل، وأنني أُريد لكم أن تستمروا في حياتكم دون أن تُثقلوا أنفسكم بأحزانٍ كاذبةٍ .
