ما دفع إلى تأليف هذا الكتاب هو بعض الفتاوى التي أصدرها بعض الأشخاص تحت اسم علماء ومفكرين مسلمين ، مثل حسن الترابي ومحمد شحرور ومؤسسيهما الذين أجازوا جزئيا هذا النوع من الزواج ويقولون إنه من حق المرأة المسلمة أن تتزوج من رجال غير مسلمين ولا يوجد دليل قانوني على تحريم هذا النوع من الزواج
