كثيراً ما تطرب العالم لذكرى أيام الزواج الأولى وخاصة ليلة الزفاف، وأنا أكره هذا اليوم حد المقت، وكأني ممن أقترن بدب فاسق، حيرتي في ذاك اليوم كانت الى درجة التفكير بالهرب، وكأنه يوم الالتحاق بالجيش ـ وما أشد وطأة هذا اليوم على النفس ـ لأني لم أستطع من شراء (بدلة) الزفاف وعندما أخبرت والدي بذلك، أشار عليّ بلبس الدشداشة، ضحك جميع الحاضرين، أصدقاؤنا، والأقارب، لولا أن صديقا لي أنقذ الموقف، عندما دلني على دكان لتأجير البدلات وتوابعها، لكنت ممن عرس بـ (دشداشة) حتى أني لا أملك وقتها غير دشداشة بيضاء ممزقة من شرر السجائر المتطاير، منذ ذلك اليوم وأذني بيد زوجتي تجرني كالخروف، وأقول لنفسي ماذا يضر الشاة بعد الذبح أن تسلخ، فلتسلخ.
وتظل ذكرى أبي عندي ـ مثلما قال أخي ـ هي أقرب للعنة منها للرحمة.!
