لكن من يمتلكه سيكون يتحكم بكل عناصر المادة حسب علم الخيمياء، كما انه في كل الألوان الطيف السبعة
حسب بعض العلماء، يقال انه كان عند النبي (ادم) و اصبحوا الأنبياء يتداوله وصولاً الى (سليمان) .
و يقال ان في العصور الوسطى و خاصة في الحضارة الإسلامية كان العلماء يستخدمون الحجر لتحويل المعادن ، لكن دحضت هذه النظرية و ذلك بعد اكتشاف (ابن سينا) ان لكل معدن خصائصه.
