الشيخ العلامة المحقق المدقق عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن قاسم العاصمي من آل عاصم من قبيلة قحطان القبيلة العربية المشهورة
اسمه ونسبه ونشأته
هو الشيخ العلامة المحقق المدقق عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن قاسم من آل عاصم من قبيلة قحطان القبيلة العربية المشهورة. ومنشأ آل قاسم بلدة القصب من بلاد الوَشْم أحد مواضع نجد لربيعة بن مالك بن زيد بن مناة بن تميم قال زياد بن منقذ والوشم قد خرجت منه وقابلها من الثنايا التي لم أقلها ثرم ومنها – أي القصب – تفرق آل قاسم إلى عدة بلدان صغيرة كبلدة الرغبة والبير والرويضة في نجد وكان استقرار عائلة الشيخ في بلدة البير التي تبعد اليوم عن العاصمة الرياض من جهة الشمال ما يقارب 120 كيلو متر وفيها ولد سنة (1312هـ) وعند بلوغه الثاني عشر توفي والده سنة (1324هـ) وتربى في حجر أمه هيا بنت عباد العباد فاهتمت بتربيته وتحفيظه للقرآن الكريم ودفعه إلى طلب العلم فنشأ في بيئة علمية صالحة.

ولعلنا نكتفي بذكر هؤلاءالمشايخ فله غيرهم قد يطول الحديث عنهم والجدير بالذكر أن الشيخ عبد الرحمن من أقران وأصحاب الشيخ محمد بن إبراهيم آل الشيخ مفتي الدولة السعودية المتوفى سنة 1389هـ
