بعد معايشتي للطلبة في كثير من المدارس الحكومية والخاصة، وبعد عملي مدرساً ثم مشرفاً في العديد من هذه المدارس، لاحظت منذ عشر سنوات تقريباً-إذ كنت جديد عهد بالتدريس- وجود مشكلة عند أبنائنا الطلاب، هذه المشكلة –من وجهة نظري- تساهم بدرجة كبيرة في تردّي أحوال هذه الأمة، إذا ما غفلنا عنها أو تجاهلناها أو تأخرنا في متابعتها، ألا وهي مشكلة تبنّي القيم في مجتمعاتنا على الصعيدين الفردي والجماعي. وبما أن المدرسة هي المكان الثاني بعد البيت الذي يعنى بتربية الأبناء، كان من الجدير بنا أن نعطي هذا الجانب قدراً أكبر من الأهمية، فجاء هذا الكتاب الذي نسأل الله تعالى أن ينفع به أمة الإسلام والمسلمين، وأن يساعد في غرس العديد من القيم عند أبنائنا، بشكل منهجي مدروس، عن طريق وسائل وأساليب ابتعدنا بها عن الطرق التقليدية المتبعة في مدارسنا، واستخدمنا طرقاً أكثر شمولية في طرحها، ثم عززناها بمجموعة من الأنشطة المختلفة التي تجذب انتبناه أطفالنا، الأمر الذي يعمل على غرسها بالشكل المطلوب.
