(تراتيل السماء الثامنة) تراتيل تنعتق فيها الروح من سطوة الأحكام والقوانين والمكان والزمان يهاجر معها "خالد الباتلي" الشاعر إلى ما بعد السماء الثامنة، هجرة ليس لها من زادٍ غير العشق، ويقينٍ إلا من فرح. بهذا المنظور تأتي النصوص وهي ترقص سكرى تلملم شظايا من هنا وهناك. ... في القصيدة التي افتتح بها الشاعر الديوان (في البدء) يقول الشاعر: "... هنا في السماء، الـ 8../ حرف شجن وفكر../ هنا عقل ولا عقل.. ترقب واحتراق.. هنا كل شيء ولا شيء../ أردناها سماء ثامنة لنكون في حل من كل قيد أو قانون../ هنا رحلة في أجواء حلم لا حد له.. فقط أنا وهي وأجمل المعاني../ تحكي هي../ وأحكي أنا.. ويبح الكلام كلانا/ السماء تكتظ بالغيم.. والغيم يبشر بالكثير/ وهنا قطرات من نبض يسكنها الكثير منها ومني.."
وفي الكتاب قصائد نثرية متنوعة أطلق فيها الشاعر الباتلي العنان للعاطفة وما يتبع ذلك من إيقاعات نفسية ووجدانية شفافة يحاكي فيها عالم المرأة. نذكر من عناوينها "أنت امرأة شرقية"، "في رمشها"، "حبي"، "في صمت"، "عصف الشوق"، "كل يحدث ليلاً"، "يا حلماً"... الخ.
