اليهود مشكلة كل العصور، والتاريخ ملئ بالعديد والعديد من المشاكل على مر أحقاب الزمان، وأيضا القدس أصبحت نقطة الصراعات بين العرب واليهود فكل طرف يقول أنها ملكه منذ خلق البشر، والعجيب أن اليهود قد حرفوا وزورا فى التاريخ القديم بحجة ترجمتهم للتوارة والإنجيل، وللأسف الآن يصدقون بعض الأمم والشعوب كلام اليهود.
فلهذا حرصت مكتبة الثقافة الدينية على تقديم عملا جديدا يستحق القراءة والرد عليه وهو كتاب «تاريخ القدس الشريف» المعروف بتاريخ أورشليم للمؤلف خليل بن خطار سركيس، صحافى مولده فى عبية (بلبنان) سنة 1258 ه / 1842 م ووفاته ببيروت سنة 1333 ه / 1915 م، أصدر جريدة «لسان الحال» يومية فى بيروت، مدة 38 عاما. وله كتب ومصنفات منها «العادات» و«سلاسل القراءة» ستة أجزاء، و«رحلة الآستانة وأوروبا وأمريكا» و«أستاذ الطباخين» وروايات، والكتاب الذى بين أيدينا، وعنى بإصلاح الطباعة وتجميلها فكان أول من صنع «أمهات» الحروف الفارسى.
