شهدَت القارَّةُ الأوروبيةُ فتراتٍ أليمةً من الصِّراعِ المَذهبيِّ والاضطهادِ الدينيِّ بينَ الطوائفِ المسيحيةِ دفعَت بالبعضِ إلى الهجرةِ بعيدًا عن أوطانِهم واستيطانِ أجزاءٍ جديدةٍ من القارَّةِ الأفريقيةِ أو دولِ العالمِ الجديد، لتُصبحَ هذه المُستعمَراتُ بعدَ فترةٍ دُولًا جديدةً مُستقِلة، تَجتذِبُ بدَورِها المزيدَ من المُهاجِرينَ الأوروبيِّين من الباحثِين عن فُرَصِ العملِ والكَسبِ الكبيرِ خاصةً بعدَ اكتشافِ الثرواتِ المعدنيةِ بهذه المناطق، هكذا باختصارٍ كانت قصةُ تأسيسِ جمهورياتٍ للبِيضِ بالقارَّةِ الأفريقية، والتي ستُصبحُ بعدَ ذلك دولةَ «جنوب أفريقيا» التي ظلَّتْ لأعوامٍ طِوالٍ تُعاني من حُكمٍ ظَلومٍ للأقليةِ البَيضاءِ وتَهميشٍ كَبيرٍ للأغلبيةِ السَّمراء. سنَعرفُ بالتَّفصيلِ تاريخَ تأسيسِ أهمِّ مناطقِ المُهاجِرين بجنوبِ أفريقيا (الترنسفال)، وكيف أُقيمَت مدنٌ ومصانعُ ونَشأَت مُجتمَعاتٌ جديدةٌ في هذه المنطقةِ البِكرِ من العالَم.
