أحداث الرواية تقع في مدينة حلب وتغطي فترة الحرب السورية تبدأ في تشرين عام 2011 حتى تشرين عام 2021
تتناول الأحداث قضية الصراع على البقاء على وجه الحياة التي حدثت في تلك الفترة متمثلة بشخصية نسائية تعيش ضمن عائلة غير عادية جريحة تعاني من الماضي والحاضر، تبدأ الحكاية بعد سقوط قذيفة على منزل عائلة البطلة ولا ينجو أحد سواها، حيث تنكر موتهم وتتعايش مع خيالاتهم ووجودهم الوهمي، تناقش الجانب النفسي للإنسان المعايش لتفاصيل ظروف الحرب ومآسيها، مسرودة تارة بقصة رصاصة حب وتارة برصاصة جنون وموت، تتساقط من خلالها الحروف وأوراق الحياة ليتناوب الهلاك والهوس في سرد الأقاصيص وبين تلك الأوراق تسقط ورقة أخرى من تشرين متمثلة بوسواس الماضي الذي يطرق أبوابنا في أوقات خاطئة لتجعل البطلة في حيرة من أمرها بين حاضرها وخيالها وماضيها وحقيقته، فتخوض صراع وجودي نفسي وتصبح من ضحايا الحب والحرب.
