في مدينة هادئة تدعى أرلين ، يعيش شابان يبلغان من العمر 18 عاما .
" ليان " شاب هادئ الطباع يعشق الكتب القديمة ويخفي في عينيه بريقا غريبا منذ الطفولة و " سيرين " فتاة جريئة تبحث دائما عن المغامرات رغم خوفها من المجهول
ذات ليلة ، وبينما كانا يتجولان قرب مكتبة مهجورة في أطراف المدينة ، عثرا على مرآة غريبة الشكل محفور عليها رموز لا تنتمي لأي لغة معروفة
حين لمستها سيرين ، اهتز المكان كله و ابتلعتها المرآة ، ليجدا نفسيهما في عالم مواز مليئ بالكائنات الغريبة والسحر المنسي ، عالم تحكمه ممالك الضوء و الظلام
لكن وجودهما هناك لم يكن صدفة , فهناك نبوؤة قدينة تتحدث عن " القادمين من عالم البشر " الذين سيغيرون مصير الممكلتين إلى الأبد
وبينما يحاولان فهم قوتهما الجديدة ، تنشأ بينهما مشاعر لم يكن أي منهما يتوقعها ، ويبدأ الصراع بين الثقة والخوف ، بين الحب والمصير ، وبين الضوء والظلال .
